Ghana, formerly the Gold Coast, is a country located along the Gulf of Guinea in West Africa. The word “Ghana” means “warrior king” in the Soninke language. Ghana was inhabited in pre-colonial times by a number of ancient Akan kingdoms, including the Ga and the Asante.
Europeans arrived in 1471, when Portuguese explorer Pedro da Cintra landed on the coast in search of gold and ivory.
Qatar World Cup 2022
