Aaron Ramsey is also a doubt with a groin problem but could return in time to feature. Granit Xhaka is suspended after picking up his fifth booking of the season last weekend.
In terms of the lineup, Arsene Wenger is expected to make some changes from the side that lost at Crystal Palace last time out.
Petr Cech should keep his place in goal, while Rob Holding could come in to replace Shkodran Mustafi at centre-back. Ainsley Maitland-Niles could start at right-back again with Hector Bellerin still sidelined through injury.
In midfield, Jack Wilshere looks set to continue alongside Mohamed Elneny as Granit Xhaka serves his one-match ban.

Fifa World Cup 2022 Qualifiers Europe
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will be the 22nd edition of the quadrennial international men’s football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar in late 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country.
The announcement was made by FIFA president Sepp Blatter at a media conference in Zurich on 2 December 2010 after Qatar beat bids from Japan, South Korea and Australia to host the tournament.
The format for European qualifying remains largely unchanged from recent editions of the World Cup, with 54 out of 55 UEFA member nations taking part ( Kosovo are not UEFA members but have been given special dispensation to compete). All countries will enter into qualification, with Europe’s 14 World Cup places allocated based on results over 10 matchdays between March 2021 and November 2021.
Next Fifa World Cup
The 2022 FIFA World Cup is set to be the 22nd edition of the quadrennial international men’s football championship contested by the national teams of the member associations of FIFA. It is scheduled to take place in Qatar in November and December 2022. This will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country.
The tournament will also mark the first time that all matches will be played within a 28-day period, with no mid-week rest days.
As usual, 32 nations will qualify for the tournament via a series of qualifying tournaments that are currently underway; this process began back in March 2019 and will conclude in November 2021. The field of teams competing at next year’s World Cup is almost complete, with 31 out of 32 spots having been claimed so far.
The last remaining place will go to either Australia or China – who are currently locked in a two-legged playoff – while Japan and South Korea have already qualified as co-hosts. One more spot could potentially open up if any team who has already qualified fails to meet FIFA’s strict requirements regarding government support and infrastructure development.
So far, 9 cities across Qatar have been confirmed as host venues for next year’s tournament: Doha, Al Wakrah, Al Khor, Madinat ash Shamal, Lusail City, Khalifa International Stadium (which hosted some games during the successful 2006 Asian Games), Education City Stadium, Ras Abu Aboud Stadium and Al Bayt Stadium (60km north of Doha).
All but one of these stadiums are brand new or recently renovated; only Khalifa International Stadium predates Qatar’s successful bid for hosting rights back in 2010.
Qatar is continuing its preparations for what promises to be an historic event not just for our country but for the whole region. Stay tuned for more updates on what promises to be a truly unforgettable World Cup!
Fifa World Cup 2020
The 2020 FIFA World Cup is an international football tournament that is scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December 2020. It will be the first World Cup ever to be held in the Arab world and the first in a Muslim-majority country. The 2022 FIFA World Cup will also be held in Qatar, making it the first time that two consecutive World Cups will be staged in the same host country.
The two European heavyweights will go head-to-head in a friendly on Tuesday, with both sides using the game as preparation for this summer’s World Cup. Denmark will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing defeat to Sweden at the weekend, while France will be hoping to build on their win over Ukraine.
This will be the first meeting between the two sides since November 2015, when they played out a 0-0 draw in Paris.
However, there is sure to be plenty of attacking talent on display this time around, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele all expected to start for France.
For Denmark, star man Christian Eriksen will once again be the key player and he will be hoping to provide the creative spark that was lacking against Sweden.
The game kicks off at 8pm local time (7pm BST) and will be broadcast live on TV2 Sport in Denmark and TF1 in France.
It will also be available to watch online via both broadcaster’s websites.
